The Harvey A. Friedman Center for Aging at Washington University in St. Louis’ Institute for Public Health promotes research, education and community services that enhance the quality of life for older adults and families.

Under the direction of Nancy Morrow-Howell, PhD, the Ralph and Muriel Pumphrey Professor of Social Work at the Brown School, the Friedman Center conducts symposiums, holds lectures and engages students and faculty discourse on aging across a diverse set of disciplines.

“As we move forward,” says Morrow-Howell (shown at left with the Center’s first director, John C. Morris, MD), “we will maintain our focus on encouraging and supporting interdisciplinary research, expanding educational experiences across campuses, and developing community partnerships.”
