Mahila Mobile is a social enterprise that aims to create an Android operating system (OS) customized for illiterate women in Pakistan. We plan to work with local NGO partners over a 2-year time frame to provide women with access to education, health, and income opportunity through mobile phone technology. Mahila Mobile values technology as a tool to empower women to lift themselves out of poverty.
