Vote Now: Help WUSTL’s KHE project win the CGI U bracket challenge

President Bill Clinton announced the launch of the third annual CGI U Commitments Challenge, a competition of ideas from college and university students in the form of a bracket. The KHE Project, a commitment to action by WUSTL Arts & Sciences students Emily Santos, Krupa Desai, and Henry Osman, is one of the “Sweet 16” projects selected to compete in the challenge. Vote for the KHE project at www.cgiu.org/bracket.

CGI U announces 2013 speakers; new CGI University Network to fund student commitments

President Bill Clinton and Chelsea Clinton announced the program and featured participants for the sixth annual meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U) to be held at Washington University in St. Louis April 5-7. In addition to President Clinton and Chelsea Clinton, Stephen Colbert, Nobel Prize winner Muhammad Yunus and WUSTL’s Michael Sherraden are among the featured speakers.

Student ticket lottery for CGI U’s Opening Plenary session opens March 6

CGI U will be offering student tickets to the Friday night session, which will take place from 6:30 – 8 p.m. on April 5. The tickets, available only to currently enrolled students on both the Danforth and Medical campuses, will be distributed through an online lottery.

Media and press registration information

Press registration is now open to members of the media. Journalists may apply for credentials on-site, but pre-registered media will be given priority.

$300K in Funding Available for CGI U 2013 Students

More than $300,000 in seed funding is now available for CGI U 2013 student attendees to turn their ideas into action. Funding is provided by the CGI University Network and the Resolution Project. Students can take advantage of these two opportunities by applying online for CGI U 2013 before the final application deadline of January 30, 2013.
